Albert Jorquera will miss the rest of the season after getting injured early in tonight’s match between Euskal Herria and Catalunya. Jorquera twisted his right knee and is believed to have torn ligaments. It is the same injury that forced Xavi to miss most of the 2005/2006 season.
Barça will now be forced to find a new goalkeeper as cover for Victor Valdés. The January transfer window opens in two days and Barça may be looking at some of the unwanted but experienced goalkeepers like Jens Lehmann of Arsenal, problem is I think Lehmann would be cup-tied for the Champions League.
