Barça have confirmed they will play a friendly on May 26th against Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad. The game will take place at Al-Ittihad’s Abdullah al-Faisal stadium in Jeddah. Al-Ittihad were close to signing an unpopular ex-Barça player last summer but the deal fell through because the money-grabbing player in question wanted more money. The plans for a game in Kuwait against Kazma SC have been put on hold for the time being. Last season Barça played a friendly in Cairo with Egyptian side Al-Ahly. Bojan Krkic made his first team debut in that match, scoring in a 4-0 win.

I went to the Ahly game last year. One of best days of my life, Yes i went before the game in the hot sun for 10 hours and yes i had to jump in the airport to see the players. But worth every min. btw Nic there is a rumor , I repeat a rumor. That either Madrid or Barca is playing another Egyptian famous team ( ” Al Zamalek ” ) It’s been crusis for this team for 4-5 years they didn’t win anything for that amount of time. ( Not sure I don’t quiet flow) but back in the day they where a real big team 5 times winner of the African Champions League, 34/33 times Egyptian League winner…….. I don’t know all the achievements . Any way Zamalek has been saying for quiet sometime now that its going to play a friendly ageist a big European team. Just for fun thou unlike Ahly where they at the time celebrated there 100 year anniversary. Zamalek isn’t really a strong team at the moment. Even thou there doing ok this year but Ahly is spouse to be a better team. Any way the rumor is that since Barca/Madrid is already flying in to the Middle East it would be a good idea to make that game they wanted. btw i wanted to add Madrid Played Ahly also and surprisingly they lost 1-0. Well any way I just wanted to add some info since your talking about stuff i might know a few things about. I will keep you posted if i hear any thing new ( My Brother is a huge Zamalek Fan )

damn, I live in Jeddah for a couple of years, decide to move to Canada and now barcelona decides to play a friendly there.
Guess I will have to rob a bank and head over to barcelona if I want to see them play live.

Well I live in South Africa, and I heard and it’s been doing the rounds that Mamelodi Sundowns want to play against Real Madrid…
just like they did against Barca last year.
