With the closing of the transfer deadline last night Barça have confirmed this season’s shirt numbers. In the end Gabi Milito will wear the number 3 shirt vacated by the departing Thiaggo Motta. Giovani dos Santos has been given number 17 while Bojan Krkic who will continue to play for the second team this season when not needed by Rijkaard, will wear number 27. Marc Crosas has the shirt number 26 while new goalie Oier Olazabal has number 28. Iniesta will play with the number 8 on his shirt this season, and Touré Yaya has been given number 24, while Eric Abidal will wear the number 22 vacated by Javier Saviola.
