I couldn’t resist taking this photo from Manel Montilla for El Mundo Deportivo. Ronaldinho said he would respond on the pitch, and while he didn’t have his greatest game he showed touches of his class. From the picture I think we can see he was certainly keen to get back into the fray.

Ronaldinho has been included in the squad to travel to Germany where Barça take on Stuttgart on Tuesday in the Champions League. Ronnie has missed the last three matches due to a calf injury. Also included in the squad is Rafa Marquez who missed yesterday’s game against Levante through injury.

There were mixed fortunes for Barça players in the latest international matches. Ronaldinho came out better than Rafa Marquez as Brazil beat Mexico 3-1 in Boston, Giovani dos Santos came on as sub for the last 16 minutes.

Ronaldinho Obtains Double Nationality

Ronaldinho will no longer occupy a non-european place as today he swore on the Spanish constitution to become officially a Spanish citizen. Giovani dos Santos is also expected to gain Spanish citizenship in the next few days. This means that Barça will have only Eto’o and Touré as non-EU players.
