It was a good weekend for two of Barça’s African players. On Saturday Samuel Eto’o scored both goals including a last minute winner in Cameroon’s 2-1 victory over Tanzania, while yesterday Seydou Keita scored twice in Mali’s 3-0 win over Sudan. Both Cameroon and Mali lead their respective qualifying groups for the 2010 World Cup.

Just a quick roundup of today’s news, I’ve had a long day at work and I ought to think about taking out my better half tonight. First story is that Barça have signed a 14-year-old wonderkid called Mauro Icardi. Born in Argentina but with an Italian passport, Mauro has played for the Canary Island team UD […]

Egypt End Eto’o’s Dream
February 10th, 2008 by Nic · 7 Comments
It wasn’t to be for Samuel Eto’o and Cameroon who lost 1-0 to Egypt in the African Cup Of Nations final today in Accra. Egypt were deserved winners and scored the only goal of the game when Abou Trika made the most of a dreadful defensive mistake by Rigobert Song. Eto’o only had a couple […]
