Leo Messi and Gabi Milito’s Argentina overcame Rafa Marquez’s Mexico 3-0 to reach the final of the Copa America where they will meet Brazil on Sunday. All three Barcelona players played the entire 90 minutes, and Messi capped his performance with a classy goal.

Leo Messi scored his first goal of the tournament last night as Argentina cruised to a 4-0 victory over Peru. Argentina will now play Rafa Marquez and Mexico in the semi final, Mexico having beaten Paraguay 6-0.

FC Barcelona and Zaragoza are close to an agreement for the transfer of Argentinian central defender, Gabi Milito. Barça have agreed terms with Milito and will now have to decide whether to raise their offer of €18 million to meet Zaragoza’s asking price of €20 million.

Leo Messi and Argentina followed Rafa Marquez and Mexico into the quarter-finals of this year’s Copa America. Messi didn’t score but he was instrumental in Argentina’s 4-2 victory over Columbia.

Rafa Marquez last night played all 90 minutes of Mexico’s surprise 2-0 victory over Brazil in the Copa America which is being played in Venezuela. Mexico’s goals were scored by Nery Castillo and Ramon Morales. Tonight Argentina and Leo Messi make their debut in the tournament when they take on the USA.
