Eric Abidal and Thierry Henry have come in for a fair bit of criticism since signing for Barça last summer. Whether Barça are to blame or not I cannot say, but now playing for France they have both had poor tournaments as a lacklustre French team finished bottom of the Group C.

Thierry Henry and Eric Abidal have both been left out of the squad for tomorrow night’s game in Valladolid due to minor injuries. According to the club website Henry is suffering a peritendinitis in his achilles tendon on his left leg.

Football Club Barcelona today completed their third signing of the summer. Eric Abidal passed his medical examination and has signed for the next four seasons.

If there are no last minute problems, Eric Abidal, 27, of Olympique Lyonnais will sign for Barça tomorrow. Abidal is confident of becoming Barcelona’s third signing this summer.
