A fine second half display from Argentina overcame a USA team 4-1 in the Copa America last night. Leo Messi didn’t score but he set up the all important second goal for Hernan Crespo. USA went a goal up with a penalty after 9 minutes which was converted by Johnson, but Crespo equalised two minutes later. Second half goals from Crespo again, Pablo Aimar and Carlos Tevez gave the Argentinians victory. Messi was substituted after 79 minutes by Tevez.
In the other game last night, Paraguay thumped Columbia 5-0. This takes the tournament’s goal tally to 24 in the first 6 games.
