Thierry Henry scored his 41st goal for France in yesterday’s 0-6 win over the Faroe Islands, and now equals Michel Platini as France’s all time top scorer. Henry has scored his goals in a total of 95 appearances for the national team. Eric Abidal and Lilian Thuram started the game as France’s central defenders, but Thuram ended up playing at right back.
Leo Messi and Gabi Milito played in Argentina’s 2-0 victory over Chile. Messi had a good game and hit the post in the second half. Argentina’s goals were both scored by ex-blaugrana Juan Roman Riquelme.
Xavi and Iniesta both played 90 minutes in Spain’s important 1-3 win in Denmark. The signs of Luis Aragones losing his marbles are there for all to see as he decided to leave out Carles Puyol for such an important game. Iniesta crossed superbly for Raul Tamudo to head in Spain’s first goal, and Xavi played a part in Spain’s second.
Deco played his 50th game for Portugal and set up the first goal in a 0-2 victory in Azerbaijan. Eidur Gudjohnsen scored twice for Iceland at home to Latvia but it wasn’t enough to prevent a surprise 2-4 defeat.

Hey nic you are absolutely right i am just wondering how far spain will go in the tournament with decisions like that leaving puyol to sit out,i wont be suprised if he puts casillas as a striker cos his decisions are just as stupid.
