It seems incredible but after the Liga Profesional De Futbol (LFP) announced earlier today that Barça would play Athletic Bilbao on Saturday 26th January, this afternoon the Real Federacion Española De Futbol (RFEF) have announced that the first leg of the Villarreal-Barça Copa Del Rey quarter final will take place on Thursday 24th January, kick off 10pm.
I know that in England they sometimes play twice in three days, but in Spain it is unheard of. It would certainly be a disadvantage for Barça in the game against Athletic. We will have to hope that there is a change in this decision and that it happens quickly. I imagine they will realise their error and re-schedule the cup game for Wednesday. One has to wonder sometimes at the buffoons who are in charge of our beautiful game.

Why do they make such ridiculous mistakes nic, 1day training then a game the next it’s just madness.arn’t they suposed to be profesional.

Even in England two games in 3 days is very rare - it only happens usually over christmas period (4 games in 12 days) or if the a team drew their cup game and it has to be replayed - remember in England cup games are usually 1 leg so if there is a draw only then do they get a second game (as a one off so away goals thing like what happened between Barca and Sevilla).
It would definately be a disadvangtage especially as without Eto’o, Henry being a little injury prone and Ronnie injury/poor form we would struggle up front. I know there is Bojan and Gio but they cannot keep the attack running by themselves. Barca really need Eto’o back if only to make up the numbers

I think its absolutely ridicuolous. the people in charge must realise that players are human and not machines, they need time to rest and time to prepare for upcomming matches.
