If it was difficult to chose in October it has been even tougher this month, mainly because no player has played well throughout the month. If Abidal and Milito were good in Lyon they were both bad against Getafe. Ronaldinho started the month well with goals against Valladolid and Betis but ended the month as a substitute. Valdés kept three clean sheets but let in a soft one in Lyon. Bojan has done well but will need to play more minutes to be considered best of the month. After much careful consideration here is my final decision:
- Leo Messi (not in the amazing form he showed in September but three goals and still the player who causes the opposition the most problems).
- Toure Yaya (besides a poor game at Getafe a very good month).
- Xavi (one of the only players who played better in November than earlier in the season)
- Iniesta (proves he can play anywhere and will make it easier for Rijkaard to leave out Ronaldinho)
- Abidal (awful against Getafe, but the whole team was bad, otherwise a good month).
Bojan was very close to the top 5 and so was Ronaldinho and Valdes, with Milito, Puyol and Henry just behind. I’m sure there will be a fair amount of disagreement this month. So who would you have chosen?
