A superb 0-3 win for Barça last night was spoiled by the injury to Leo Messi which will mean he misses next week’s Barça-Madrid and probably the first games of 2008. On the plus side was a fantastic performance from Samuel Eto’o who scored the first two goals for Barça. Keep reading →

Apologies to anyone looking for the match report to tonight’s match, I usually try to get a report done an hour/an hour and a half after the final whistle. Unfortunately, this week the report will be late due to what is left of my social life (yeah, parties - what a drag, eh?). I have left my DVD to record the game and I will do my best to get the report done first thing on Sunday morning. For now please feel free to use this space to inform each other of what you thought about the game. Send your comments below, if anyone wants to write a match report, that would be great.

Barça are almost back to full strength for the visit to Valencia. Deco, Toure Yaya and Eric Abidal are all included in the squad for the game, and Leo Messi and Gianluca Zambrotta also return. The only players on the injured list now are Thierry Henry and Oleguer Presas, who will both be out until the new year, and Jose Edmilson who is close to returning after his lengthy injury. Marc Crosas and Lilian Thuram have been left out after contributing to the victory over Stuttgart. Keep reading →

In an entertaining encounter, Da Silva had put Stuttgart ahead after just two minutes but Giovani dos Santos equalized before half time and second half goals from Samuel Eto’o and Ronaldinho kept Barça’s 100% home record intact. Toure Yaya who missed yesterday’s match due to sinusitis could be available to play against Stuttgart in Wednesday night’s Champions League match.
