Leo Messi arrived last night in Barcelona after spending 20 days in Argentina recovering from the injury to his left leg. Messi’s recovery is going well, and when asked by reporters at the airport the Argentinian stated that “if it were up to me I’d play against Getafe“. This morning Messi will undergo a scan on the injury so that club doctors can assess the best plan for the final stage of his recuperation. Messi was injured on March 4th and it was originally thought he would need six weeks to recover. It is likely that the club will be cautious and will not want to rush his return for fear of provoking another injury.
