Bad news for Barça as doctors have confirmed that Carles Puyol has a slight muscle tear in his leg. Puyol had to be substituted at half time of yesterday’s game with Villarreal and today’s scans have shown the tear is about two centimetres long. Puyol has been told that he will need three to four weeks before he is back in action which makes him very doubtful for the Champions League first leg match with Celtic on February 20. He may also miss the Copa del Rey semi final first leg on February 27.
Puyol has suffered various injuries this season and his luck is not improving. Fortunately for Barça Gianluca Zambrotta has been showing better form recently at right back and Rafa Marquez and Gabi Milito have demonstrated an excellent understanding when they play together.

Well, better now than when playing a real good side, I guess. Not underestimating Celtic though, but the offensive department will probably be more important during those matches.
Most logical solutions. You can put Thuram (like last night). Or Edmilson (or Iniesta) in midfield, and Marquez together with Milito at the back. With the latter being my option, Thuram is so slow that he always tends to scare me.
