Ronaldinho Gaucho is raring to go. After enjoying his holidays it seems that his batteries are fully recharged and this season should see him training normally instead of spending so much time in the gymnasium. “This year I have had holidays and I’ve been able to start work with my team mates from the first day, something I haven’t been able to do in the last few seasons. I am very motivated and very keen to start again”
Ronnie also spoke of the ongoing interest from AC Millan. “It’s always nice to know that other teams are interested, but I am very happy here and my mind is set on Barcelona. I am not thinking about anything that is not FC Barcelona which is where I see my future.”
When asked about the possibilities of being named substitute at some point of the season, Ronaldinho did not see a problem. “It’s something that is normal in football, the players in the best condition deserve to be in the team.”
It’s great to hear Ronnie talking like this, let’s hope that last season was just a hiccup, and that this season sees a return of the real Ronaldinho.
Tonight will be the first chance to see the new team as they take on Dundee United at Tannadice.
