I have to admit my surprise when I turned on my computer this morning and came across this story in El Sport. According to the story Puyol had bet that he would shave his locks if Barça lost to Madrid. Would this mean that Puyol would lose all his strength just like Samson? Fortunately for me I didn’t have time to post the story as I had to go out to work, this gave me the chance to remember what day it is.
In Spain, the 28th December is known as “El dia de los inocentes”. This is basically the same idea as April Fool’s Day and involves people playing jokes and hoaxes on each other. If you look more carefully at the photo you may notice that Puyol’s head looks uncannily like that of Victor Valdés. Nice one from El Sport, they caught me out for an hour or so.
